Privacy Policy
Last updated July 7, 2026
Menatria is a sanctuary for your cycle, your moon, and your inner life. The information you keep here is deeply personal, and protecting it is central to how we build. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us at privacy@menatria.com — we'll answer plainly.
Who we are
Menatria (“Menatria,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Menatria website and application (the “Service”). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at privacy@menatria.com or by mail at 5511 Caprock Summit Dr, Austin, TX 78738, USA.
Information we collect
We collect only what the Service needs to work and to serve you.
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with us (such as your name and email). We store an authentication identifier, not your password — passwords are handled by our authentication provider.
- Health and cycle information you choose to enter. This includes your menstrual cycle dates, phase, symptoms, moods, reflections, journal and ritual entries, check-ins, and any other content you record. Some of this is sensitive personal information concerning your health and reproductive life, and we treat it with heightened care.
- Preferences and settings. Life stage, reminder settings, notification subscriptions, and similar choices you make in the app.
- Invitations you send. If you invite a friend or link a partner, we process the email address you provide solely to deliver that invitation.
- Technical information. Basic data needed to operate and secure the Service, such as your device and browser type, approximate region, and log data. We keep this to the minimum required and do not use it to build advertising profiles.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- provide the Service and show you content tailored to your cycle and phase;
- save your entries so they are there when you return;
- send the reminders and notifications you enable, and account or security messages;
- deliver invitations you choose to send;
- keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems;
- comply with our legal obligations.
We never sell your personal information, and we do not use your health or cycle data for advertising. We do not share your identifiable health data with advertisers, data brokers, or social networks.
Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service), your explicit consent for processing sensitive health data (which you may withdraw at any time), our legitimate interests in keeping the Service safe and functional, and compliance with legal obligations.
How we share information
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Menatria, and only as needed:
- Hosting and database (our infrastructure and database provider, which stores your account and entries securely on our behalf);
- Authentication (to sign you in, including Google sign-in if you use it);
- Email and push notification delivery (to send the messages you enable);
- when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
These providers act as our processors under contract and may only use your data to provide services to us. If Menatria is ever involved in a merger or acquisition, we will require any successor to honor this policy, and we will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different policy.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual entries at any time. When you delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymize your personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your account and associated data;
- export your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent to the processing of your health data;
- object to or restrict certain processing.
You can manage much of this directly in your account settings. To make any other request, email privacy@menatria.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard the trust you place in us, and we will notify you and any regulator as required by law if a breach affects your data.
International transfers
Menatria is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed there and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
Children
Menatria is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of Menatria after an update means you accept the revised policy.
